I encourage you to do a quick exercise. Imagine you’re in front of your best friend and (s)he’s asking you „How are you?”.

What is your answer?

And then again „How are you?” Notice how your answers changes a bit.

And then again „How are you, really?”

Now, we’re talking.

Anyone else annoyed by the quick „I’m fine, thanks” that is an obvious shallow quick getaway response?

How about admitting when something is wrong and maybe also slide in the strategy to make it ok:

„Well, not a good hair day, but I have my brush on”

„I’m awful actually, but I’ve decided to go to a coffee with my issues and spend some quality time with them”
